Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a standard 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes or until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Divide batter evenly among prepared cupcake liners.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
  5. To make the wings, insert a toothpick into the top of each cupcake. Place an Oreo half on each side, overlapping the toothpick.
  6. To make the eyes, melt candy melts according to package directions. Dip the tip of a toothpick into the melted candy and draw two eyes on each cupcake.
  7. For the fangs, pipe a small amount of vanilla frosting onto the bottom of each cupcake to resemble fangs.
