  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the yeast and warm milk. Let stand for 5 minutes, or until foamy.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Add the butter and egg and knead for 3-4 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
