  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Press half of the dough into the prepared pan.
  6. In a medium bowl, combine the cranberries with 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar. Toss to coat.
  7. Spread the cranberry mixture over the pressed dough.
