Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Remove the stems and insert a lollipop stick into the top of each apple.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, butter, and cream. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the caramel thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Dip each apple into the caramel, rotating to coat evenly. Place on the prepared baking sheet and let cool completely.
