Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll

Ingredients and Weight:

  1. Rice: 3 cups (cooked)
  2. Tuna fish: 200 grams (fresh or canned)
  3. Nori (dried seaweed): 4 sheets
  4. Ginger: 1 tablespoon (ground or fresh)
  5. Sriracha sauce or hot chili sauce: 2 tablespoons
  6. Mayonnaise: 1/4 cup
  7. Green onions: 2, chopped
  8. Salt and pepper: a pinch each

Preparation Time:

Difficulty Level: Level 3 (Moderate)

Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Prepare the rice by cooking it according to the instructions on the package. Let it cool for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the tuna, ginger, sriracha sauce, mayonnaise, green onions, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Wet your hands slightly to prevent rice from sticking to them.
  4. Spread a thin layer of rice over the nori, leaving a small border uncovered at one end for sealing.
  5. Place the tuna mixture along the center of the rice, leaving some space at both ends.
  6. Start rolling the bamboo mat towards the end with the uncovered nori border, using the mat to compress and shape the roll.
  7. Moisten the uncovered edge of the nori with water and seal the roll closed.
  8. Repeat steps 3-7 to make a total of 4 rolls, using all the ingredients.
  9. Slice each roll into 6 pieces and serve with soy sauce or wasabi, if desired.
