  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (163 degrees C).
  2. Remove the turkey from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the onion, carrot, celery, garlic, parsley, sage, rosemary, and black pepper.
  4. Remove the neck and giblets from the turkey and discard. Loosen the skin from the breast and thighs.
  5. Season the turkey liberally with salt. Stuff the stuffing into the cavity of the turkey.
