  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk to wet ingredients, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  5. Spread half of the batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Top with apricot jam.
  6. Spread remaining batter over jam.
