Preparation Method Steps

  1. Rinse the rice and drain it.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mushrooms to a plate.
  4. Add the remaining butter and olive oil to the skillet. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in the rice and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add the chicken broth, salt, and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Stir in the mushrooms and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and the rice is tender.
