  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Brush the squash halves with olive oil and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 50 minutes, or until the squash is tender and easily pierced with a fork.
  5. While the squash is baking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  6. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  7. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
