  1. Slice bananas and place them in a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and 1 cup of milk.
  4. Bring 2 cups of milk to a simmer in a saucepan. Gradually whisk in the dry ingredients until smooth.
  5. Bring the mixture back to a simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Whisk 1/2 cup of the hot mixture into the egg yolks, then whisk the egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan. Cook for an additional minute, stirring constantly.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in heavy whipping cream.
