Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Combine crushed digestive biscuits and melted butter in a bowl. Press into the bottom of a 23cm springform pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then let cool.
  3. In a saucepan, boil condensed milk for 2-3 hours, or until it turns a deep caramel color. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Spread the sliced bananas over the biscuit base. Pour the caramel over the bananas.
  5. Beat the whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the caramel.
  6. Sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
