  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove the chicken giblets and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, including the cavity.
  5. Open the beer can and remove about 1/4 cup of beer. Pour the remaining beer into the cavity of the chicken.
  6. Place the chicken upright on a roasting rack set inside a baking sheet.
