Preparation Method Steps:

  1. In a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, melt the dark chocolate chips and heavy whipping cream together, stirring until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the milk chocolate chips. Let cool slightly.
  3. Stir in the almond extract and a pinch of salt.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch square baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  6. Use a sharp knife to cut the chocolate into 1-inch squares.
  7. Attach two peanuts to each square with a dot of melted chocolate to resemble spiders' legs.
