  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Remove the roast from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  3. Pat the roast dry with paper towels and brush with olive oil.
  4. Season all over with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
  5. Place the roast in a roasting pan fitted with a rack and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat.
