Preparation Method Steps:

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the cold coffee and Marsala wine. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for a few seconds and arrange them in the bottom of a 9x13 inch (23x33 cm) baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolks one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold the egg whites into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Spread the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfinger layer. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  5. Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder.
