  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter evenly between the two cake pans and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cakes to cool completely in the pans before frosting.
  5. For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
