Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add sugar, beating until well combined.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
  7. Fold in peanut butter.
  8. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool completely.
