Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer for 15 minutes, or until thickened.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese.
  5. Spread a layer of lasagna noodles in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with 1/2 of the meat sauce, 1/2 of the cheese mixture, and 1/4 of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat layers.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the lasagna is heated through.
