Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
  3. While noodles are cooking, brown ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to skillet and cook until softened.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
  6. In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and parsley (if using).
  7. Spread a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  8. Place a noodle on a flat surface and spread with a thin layer of ricotta mixture. Roll up noodle and place seam-side down in baking dish. Repeat with remaining noodles.
  9. Top with remaining sauce and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
