  5. Mini marshmallows: 1 bag (about 2 cups)
  6. Chocolate chips or Hershey's kisses: 1 cup (optional)

Preparation Method Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add the brown sugar and stir until completely combined.
  4. Pour in the golden syrup and mix well.
  5. Add the rice krispies cereal and stir until all the cereal is coated with the mixture.
  6. Stir in the marshmallows until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and press down to compact the mixture evenly.
