Preparation Method Steps:

  1. In a large skillet or sauté pan over medium heat, combine olive oil, white wine, basil, parsley, garlic, capers, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Add tuna steaks and gently poach in simmering liquid for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove from heat and let cool in the poaching liquid for 10 minutes.
  3. To serve, remove tuna from poaching liquid and place on serving plates. Strain poaching liquid and drizzle over tuna. Serve with your favorite sides, such as grilled vegetables, pasta, or roasted potatoes.
