  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the wet ingredients, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine apples, sugar, and cinnamon.
